  • Registration opens November 1, 2023

    Registration for the 2023-2024 season is open. You will also need to register with the High School through Infinite Campus and at WHSARA.com by December 1st to compete in the races.

About Us
The Waunakee high school ski and snowboard teams are a great place to become a better skier or Snowboarder, learn to race or improve your racing skills and have a lot of fun on the snow. 
- The teams are open to both boys and girls.
- The ski team practices at Devil's Head ski resort on Tuesday nights. 
- The snowboard Team practices at Tyrol Basin.
- The school will provide bus transportation to and from the hill.

Ski Team
The main focus of the team will be learning to ski slalom and giant slalom race courses.
- There will be 6 races. 2 at Devil's Head, 2 at Cascade and 2 at Tyrol Basin on Monday nights. The first 5 races will be either slalom or giant slalom (GS). The last race is usually both
- Ski equipment and a helmet are required. Full race equipment is not required.
- Everyone on the team will race in the 6 races. If the team qualifies for state, the top 5 or 6 skiers will go to state. Racers can qualify for state individually if the team does not qualify.
Costs
1. High school co-curricular Fee - $75.00
- Covers bus transportation and Coach
2. WSHARA Registration for Races - $95.00
- Cover Race bid, and everything needed for the races
3. 2023-2024 Devil's Head Season / Daily lift tickets.
Daily passes can be purchased for the Cascade and Tyrol Basin races. Usually $30.00
4. Waunakee Ski Team registration $75
- This covers the gates and other equipment we need to practice.
